We are currently hiring a talented individual to join our team. In this remote role you will provide essential support to our General Manager and VP, the senior leadership team and our international business units and you will have a blend of responsibilities.

 What you will do as a Regional Sales Manager:

The Regional Sales Manager for Water and Wastewater Treatment will lead sales initiatives within a designated region, focusing on driving new business opportunity growth and market penetration for water and wastewater treatment solutions. This role requires development and implementation of sales strategies, new and key customer relationships, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet regional sales targets and ensure customer satisfaction.  The ideal candidate will be capable of forging new partnerships in the municipal sector and expanding Fluence recognition and market presence.

Essential Duties and Principal Responsibilities:

  • Implement business strategies to drive growth in the water and wastewater treatment market.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities (lead generation), including potential new clients, partnerships and strategic alliances.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including municipalities, industrial clients, engineering firms, representatives and other relevant stakeholders. 
  • Lead negotiation and closure of new contracts and partnerships, ensuring customer satisfaction and alignment with Company business objectives and legal requirements.
  • Develop and/or oversee the preparation, submission and preparation of proposals and bids for new projects and contracts.
  • Collaborate with technical and engineering teams to develop compelling and competitive proposals.
  • Monitor and analyze sales funnel data using CRM tools and provide regular updates to senior management on progress, opportunities and challenges.
  • Prepare project reviews prior to bid date for the appropriate level of approval.
  • Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by the direct manager.


Who you are and What you Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, specializing in engineering, business management, finance or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in a related field.
  • Prior experience in a project execution role within the water and wastewater municipal industry is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with remote teams is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated strong judgment and analytical abilities guiding decision-making.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Ability to travel domestically occasionally.
