Project Manager - Hybrid - MN
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the operational aspects of our projects. You will have the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of stakeholders within the project life cycle on a global scale.
Project Management
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
- Review deliverables prepared by team before passing to client
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards
- Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures
- Minimize our exposure and risk on projects
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Project Accounting
- Manage project budget
- Determine appropriate revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Follow up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
- Analyze project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
Financial Management
- Understand our pricing model and billing procedures
- Accurately forecast revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
- Assure project legal documents are completed and signed
Business Development
- Assist application engineers in the sales department.
Communication
- Facilitate team and client meetings effectively
- Hold regular status meetings with project team
- Keep project team well informed of changes within the organization and general corporate news
- Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors
- Provide detail performing schedule and key financial metrics.
- Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
Technical Understanding
- Possess general understanding in the areas of equipment manufacturing and fabrication.
- Possess a thorough understanding of our capabilities.
- Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application on client engagements
Skills & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil engineering or related field or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management
- Knowledge of the water treatment practices preferred.
- Strong account management and relationship building skills.
- Understanding of scope, schedule, planning, time management, resource management, and cost management
- Able to operate on a global basis with demonstrated ability to understand global issues.
- Self-driven, strong project management skills, excellent business writing skills, and strong teamwork skills
- PMP Certification (not required)
- Able to analyze problems and recommend and negotiate solutions.
- Strong leadership and client management skills
- Periodic domestic and international travel required.
